Are there special instructions for Contact Team? Work hours?

Can anyone offer guidance on the question of annual leave (use or lose status)? Will we be able to carry our leave balance into next fiscal year, or will we just cut back to 240 hrs at the end of FY 2005? Please advise.

I would like to know whether employees have to sign up for the morning/afternoon shifts or employees are assigned then rotated?
Please advise which date employees have to sign up for the shifts or which shifts employees are assigned to.
Thanks.

For those of us working at home, what day should we report to pick up cases/update pen drives? Also, would we need to report during one of the shifts, or at any convenient time during core office hours?

I was wondering if I could send a representative (my mother) to the new Gretna building or the old Loyola Ave. building to retrieve my personal belongings. I see that emplyees were allowed to enter the building twice last month, but since I’ve moved to Kentucky, I can’t get to New Orleans as easily as others. Also, since I’m 7 months pregnant, I can’t afford to take any days off to come back to LA. Please advise.
I can be reachd at vretbend@vba.va.gov - Thanks

The only news I have heard is that all employees (that are not on temporary duty elsewhere) should report to the building in Gretna at 7:30 a.m. on December 12. I’ll let you know if I hear anything else.

I know “Opening Day” will be a success because of all the wonderful employees and management at the regional office. I will not be there, but I truly wish everyone the best in this transition. Many of you have volunteered when you were needed most and I am sure our veterans will be happy to have one of the best offices in the nation back up and running.

I have been in contact with several employees and my thoughts have been with my VA Family. I am sorry for the losses many of you suffered and know you look forward to being together again. The blog has been very informative.

Elroy,
I am so glad you blogged. I need to talk to you about the crystal cross your wife Joann made for my children’s great grandmother’s 100th birthday. Please email me at lisa.hines@vba.va.gov or hineslisa@bellsouth.net.
Thanks!
